Hi, my name is Darren. My 20+ years of training and coaching experience have consisted of owning a fitness facility in BC, being head coach and an acrobat for Cirque du Soleil, a national gymnastics team member, and having extensive fitness and nutrition certifications, along with an M.B.A.
My love for fitness has developed into a passion for helping others reach their health potential through personal training and nutrition coaching.
My unique journey to the health and fitness arena began on stage with Cirque du Soleil. I have travelled the world over throughout my 20-year career as a performer and eventually as head coach.
Before Cirque, I was a 7-time Canadian national gymnastics team member, competing at 2 world championships and the Pan Am Games, among many other prestigious events.
My wife, Desiree Day, and I have been so lucky for the opportunity to change people's lives through our private home training studio.
Aside from my vast coaching experience, I also have an MBA, am a certified nutritionist, and hold numerous fitness certifications.
My ultimate goal is to share my wealth of knowledge to help others implement and sustain positive lifestyle changes.

Hi, I'm Des. I am a certified personal trainer and a former elite gymnast. My love for fitness started at a very young age but after a career ending injury I really struggled with my weight and overall health. It took me nearly 20 years of trial and error to achieve a healthy and sustainable lifestyle that I love. It was a frustrating process of doing all the wrong things (yo-yo dieting, cleanses, the latest fitness trends, 'superfoods', diet pills - you name it, I've tried it!). But when I finally got it right, I knew I had to help others with their health journey.
After seven years of working in the corporate world as an HR Advisor, our family decided to move from BC to Ontario and I opened a personal training studio out of our garage and have never looked back! My husband, Darren Bersuk, and I are both now training clients full-time from our fully equipped studio, as well as offering online training and nutrition coaching for remote clients.
I have a passion for weightlifting and Darren loves to geek out over nutrition science. We are also the proud parents of a very active seven year-old girl named Dylan.
